Help with medical expenses?

Hello, I am writing to ask if anyone knows of any way that the average joe, with no health insurance, and not alot of money can get help with a surgery. I know there is HCAP but that is only for the hospital side of things. I am in need of a knee surgery and the Doc I am seeing stated they need $1300 down before they can schedule the surgery. I, unfortunetaly, do not have that kind of money. I have tried looking to the state for help but because I am not disabled or I do not have a kid they advised me they can and will not help. I have called Lutheran Social Services and they also advised me they do not help in that way. So I ask for help, if anyone has any suggestions that would be greatly appreciated. I live in Northwest Ohio and have tried looking on the internet for something but nothing has come up. Thanks, J

1. Sell your computer. Sell stuff. Ask family for support. Cut all inessential expenses: phone, cable, entertainment, prepared food.
2. Your reaching out and asking for help that's not the problem your email isn't turned on so how can any one contact you if there willing to help out. I'm they wouldn't offer to help you out if every one can see because then every one will contact that person for help so turn on your email you never know.
