Hospitals?

Has anyone else here been to psychiatric hospitals? -How long? -For what? -What did you have to do? -Diagnosis? Just curious cause no one else i know has... No, I mean i've been to two different hospitals, but no one (out of my family/friends) has been either...it'd be kinda nice to think it happens to other people, and what the different hospitals do and how they approach it

  2. I suffered from strange visions a few years ago when statues would speak to me. Honest, no joke. Could my family get me in? No. All I can say is that you must be well fcuked up to be let in. Oh, and on the bright side, they then let you out again to look after yourself as a care in the community patient. I'm ok now, not sure about all those who live amongst us though.

I have been. -3 days but they are able to keep you on a 14 day hold if they see you are feeling like your are going to harm others or yourself -Cutting and a suicide attempt -Its like a hospital. You must interact with with other people there and the nurses. You have to behave. You at least have to eat a little even though the food is horrible. -PTSD, OCD

  6. - 4 months in children's psychiatric ward. I was 10. - For retaliating when capital punishment was dished out to me at school. My mother took me to a psychiatrist. He thought i needed admitting for observation. - things ... learn to read and write, do mathemathics. I was of school age and legally they had to educate me. Played lots of cards too. Developed immunity from the severely disturbed kids. Take medication or have it administered intra-muscularly. Do as they say or there wil be consequences. - Intelligent enough but a rebel ... My inability to be indoctrinated into the roman catholic faith is not a mental illness. My mother didn't like the outcome so took the psychiatrists' advice and had me admitted to a psychological assesment centre for anohter 6 months.
